Stacey Buck
AMPT Board President
A lifelong "city girl," Stacey moved to Sterling with her husband, Markus, in 2021 — and discovered a love for small-town America she never knew she had. That love drew her to AMPT, where she saw a chance to build community with other young professionals hoping to call Sterling home for the long haul, and to help shape the town's future through their voices and energy.
As chapter president, Stacey has turned that belief into action, helping launch workshops like How City Council Works and a parliamentary procedure session, and recapping city council meetings for the public. She's also led collaborations across Sterling — a veterans appreciation BBQ with J&L Cafe, the Hometown Harvest marketplace with the Logan County Chamber and LOCAL, and a workshop led by Sterling High School students. She hopes to eventually launch a youth advisory board to pass civic skills and pride on to Sterling's next generation.
By day, Stacey runs The SLC Group, a bookkeeping and business consulting company that's shown her how small business and local policy shape one another. As a mission-driven business owner, she tries to leave things better than she found them — a philosophy that drives her AMPT leadership: collaborative, community-first, and rooted in the belief that everything impacts everything. Her hope is a community where every resident feels seen, heard, and supported.
Outside work, you'll find Stacey on local trails with friends, spoiling her two cats and very energetic dog, or in the kitchen putting a healthier spin on her family's favorite recipes.

Anna Rivers
Vice President of Civic Engagement
Anna is from Evergreen, Colorado, and now happily lives in Sterling with her husband and dog. Community is important to her, and she loves serving on the AMPT board, as well as the Planning Commission for the city, to help make Sterling as vibrant of a place as possible. She works as a Client Success Manager for a tech company based out of Boulder, and you'll probably see her biking around town or hiking on the River Trails.

Vanessa Soliz
Vice President of Memberships
Vanessa is a Wyoming native who has called Sterling home for the past eight years, where she lives with her husband and their six children. Throughout her career and community involvement, Vanessa has been passionate about advocating for marginalized communities and for anyone who needs a voice to ensure their concerns are heard.
Her work in Sterling has centered around her many roles at NJC including Assistant Director of Adult Education, Program Manager of Finish What You Started, and her current role as Workforce Resilience Program Coordinator.
She is excited to contribute her time, talents, and treasures to help shape Sterling into her forever home—a community where families can thrive and where anyone who comes to Sterling with a desire to make a difference can find opportunities, support, and a path to make an impact. Vanessa believes that strong communities are built when people are willing to show up, speak up, and invest in the place they call home.
Krystal Frick
Vice President of Technology & Initiatives
Krystal is a Sterling native who returned back to Sterling in 2020 after living in Albuquerque, NM & working for a Fortune 500 Company. Krystal eagerly follows her passions and her ambition opens doors. She has worked for companies like bareMinerals, Cabela's, LadyBoss Health and Weightloss, and Xcel Energy, and has found herself sitting across from CEO's Leslie Blodgett and Kaelin Poulin.
Krystal connected and joined AMPT after presenting a concept to City Council outlining a potential permitting process that allows citizens to make changes to city roads- like repainting street marking, creating bike lanes, filling pot holes and other improvements. This concept has developed into the Rural Road Revitalization project and is on the desks of the City Manager and Public Works Director.
Krystal's free time is spent working on home projects- like flooring, painting, fencing and attempting to grow grass. She also spends her time with her two dogs, paddle boarding, walking the trails, and is learning pickleball.
